About
Hello, I’m Seth Werkheiser.
I left the cubicle life of New York City in August 2010, after I got my hours cut at work. At the time I was the editor of Noisecreep for AOL Music. I carried my laptop and clothes and worked M-F, 9-5pm remotely from friends living rooms, kitchens, coffee shops and back porches.
I made my way across NJ and PA. I made my way across Ohio (Youngstown, Columbus and Dayton), down to Louisville KY, Nashville TN.
In Nashville, Feb 11, 2010, I left AOL Music.
I continued onto Atlanta GA, Birmingham and Mobile AL, then west to New Orleans LA, Austin TX, Oklahoma City OK and finally Albuquerque NM by March of 2011.
I’ve spent a lot of time seeking adventures and making stuff happen.
I spent a week hiking around Georgia.
Traveled from Miami FL to Portland ME on a bike + train adventure.
Rode 70 miles of the NYC Century in 2011.
Sold merch for a friends band at a huge Folly show in NJ.
Got fake-arrested in Atlanta, GA.
Launched (and folded) The Conduit, a weekly heavy metal newsletter.
Current Projects:
I run Buzzgrinder, a music blog I started in 2001.
I travel and talk to metalheads for Skull Toaster.
I write for NYCeWheels, a NYC-based bike shop.
I manage MyNameisTrav, a blog for the talented drummer Travis Turner.
I draw robots and sell them on Etsy.
I set up blogs for people, and with my 10+ years of blogging experience, show them how to do it right.
I set up web stores (Big Cartel, Etsy) for people.
I teach people how to rock Twitter.
